If you’ve already read the post about changing your email to Gmail, you may be interested to know that I’ve discovered a little tool that will upload your existing Outlook, Outlook Express or Thunderbird email messages into your Gmail account. Great, right!? There’s one catch…you have to have a Google Apps account for it to work. In order for you to take advantage of Google Apps for free, you need to use your own domain name. That’s a small price to pay for having all of your currently-stationary and static Outlook emails moved to Gmail!

The program is called Google Email Uploader and it is available for free.

I’m assuming it won’t take Google too long to get the Google Email Uploader to work with ALL Gmail accounts. In the mean time, anyone with a domain name and a web hosting account can use it. Hmmm…does this mean I’m only a step away from being able to uninstall MS Office? Let’s hope so.
