Are automatic registry cleaners safe to use?

Recently, I’ve been very hard-pressed to find a client’s computer without one of the available automatic registry cleaners (registry boosters) installed. I have my own opinion about these products, so I’d like to try to clear up any confusion, relating to these digital wonder drugs.

WARNING: Fake Antivir Rogue Antivirus

I just want to provide a quick warning about what I witnessed on a customer's computer, yesterday. In the last two weeks, I've received at least ten calls regarding fake alerts and rogue antivirus programs infecting peoples' computers. Until yesterday, it was always some no-name program like "Win Antivirus", "PCAntiMalware", "XP Antivirus Protection" or "Antivirus 2009". Yesterday was different, though. MyCleanPC.com and DoubleMySpeed.com are Scams

As a geek and a friend to my customers, I have to let you know about the heavily-advertised MyCleanPC.com and DoubleMySpeed.com computer cleaning scams. I had posted an article, a while back, about the FinallyFast.com commercials and related products.
